The Weekend to End Breast Cancer is an awesome life changing adventure. During one amazing weekend, September 9-11, 2005, thousands of women and men will unite in Toronto to walk 60 kilometres in a bold display of courage and commitment. It's a weekend of hope, as people honour lives lost, celebrate survivors and help bring breast cancer care to those who so desperately need it. This extraordinary weekend is about finding the hero in ourselves and discovering strength we never even knew we had.
One in every nine Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Maybe someone in each of our lives has been affected. The Weekend to End Breast Cancer is a chance to go the distance in the fight against this disease; it's a chance to be a hero for someone we love or someone we may never even meet.
What makes this event even more special for us is the fact that Kate Moffat-Lynch and Andrea Dillon from Team Puratos Canada are participating in it. Embarking on a life changing adventure is not unfamiliar territory for Kate who took part in the same event last year with Chris Germain and Tiffany Howell - also from Team Puratos Canada.
It will be a journey, Kate & Andrea will never forget.
It is also evidence that the courage, commitment and values that they display at work also extend to other aspects of their lives…as once again they go that extra mile.
